My favorite thing about the weekends... breakfast and brunch! This is the ultimate lox breakfast board complete with all of the fixins for endless mix and match possibilities! It is a delicious breakfast that requires little to no cooking and can be served at room temperature or cold. Breakfast boards make everything better and will make your mornings a little brighter. They make for a fun and easy breakfast option that will gather the whole family around your kitchen table.

The great thing about them is that there are no rules! They are so versatile and you can add all of your favorite ingredients, eliminate the ones you don’t enjoy as much and set it up just how you would like. There is no right or wrong way to create these beauties.
You can even include the items you don’t necessarily enjoy, but others do and build your plate as you would like when it is time to serve. The options and possibilities are endless!
On my board I included all of my favorites:
Jalapeño Cream Cheese
Vegetable Cream Cheese
Chopped Fresh Chives
Chopped Fresh Dill
Everything Bagel Seasoning
Hard Boiled Eggs
Sliced Cherry Tomatoes
Fresh Lemon Slices
Thinly sliced Onion
You can feel free to use my ingredients or change them up as you see fit for you and your guests. But, all of these are highly recommended for a variety of flavors, colors and textures!
Tips For Building Your Board:
Start with a large sturdy base such as a wood board, sheet pan, marble platters, other serving platters, etc. Shape does not necessarily matter. The bigger the better because you will be able to fit more ingredients, but if you are only feeding 2-3 people, small sizes work as well.
When building your board you start by placing the two bowls of cream cheese on the board at opposite ends. I like to use bowls to help build dimension on the board.
Then, I placed the main attraction in the middle. So, here I placed the lox in the middle with shrimp at each end.
Next, you begin to build around those items above. I try to place items on opposite ends to break up the colors and I typically fill in little spaces and crevasses with random items that I see fit, for example: greens, herbs, a lemon or few tomatoes here and there.
Garnish the board at the end with extra herbs, spices, greens and mini serving utensils.
Building a breakfast board or charcuterie board is like art. It is your blank canvas to create your own specialty item. This board is perfect for when you host brunches, if you have family in town or just a simple weekday or weekend breakfast with your loved ones at home. They can easily be made for 2-3 people or 7-8.
