Who knew that replacing a carb with a vegetable for a bun could still be so tasty! Serve these at your next gathering or holiday and I am sure these babies will be gone in just a matter of minutes.
These sliders are so simple only requiring 3 main ingredients to make and they make for a great healthyish appetizer option! Since these are on the healthyish side you can have 1 or you can have 10 without the guilt. They are easy 1-2 biters and also a easy grab and go item which means less mess!
Okay, so here is the deal...If you are a brussels sprout hater or you know someone who is a brussels sprouts hater (I know there are some out there) this recipe right here may or may not turn them into a brussels sprouts lover. I truly believe that the reason they dislike them or hate them to their core is because they have truly never tasted a good brussels sprout recipe. This one is unique and contains an abundance of flavors that all come together to create the most magical not to mention adorable appetizer.
These appetizers are mini but mighty! They are packed with flavor from the sweet dijon maple glaze, to the savory peppery bacon, to the creamy and sharp cheeses. With each bite you get a little bit of everything and once you start eating them you might not be able to stop.

Serves 8+, INGREDIENTS:
7 Cups Brussels Sprouts (when they are cut in half)
1 16 Oz package of bacon
1 Package of Brie cheese, sliced (optional)
1 Parmesan block of cheese, sliced (optional)
1/2 Cup maple syrup
1/2 TSP salt
1/2 TSP Dijon mustard
1/4 TSP black pepper
Wash your Brussels sprouts and pat them dry. Begin cutting them in half and place them in a bowl. Set aside.
Open your package of bacon and season with black pepper on both sides of each slice and set aside.
Cut your cheese whichever one you are using or if you are using both, slice and place on a plate. Set in the fridge until ready to assemble sliders.
In a bowl, whisk together maple syrup, dijon mustard, salt and pepper. Pour over sliced brussels sprouts and mix.
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees. Prepare a baking sheet with foil and non-stick spray. Place your marinated maple Brussels sprouts on your prepared baking sheet. Bake in the oven at 400 degrees for 25-30 minutes or until brussels sprouts have become crispy and the maple glazed has baked onto the brussels sprouts. When done, remove from heat and set aside.
While your Brussels sprouts are baking, cook your bacon. Cook on each side for 5-7 minutes or until crispy. Repeat the process until all bacon is cooked, once cooked slice each piece in 3rds or small ot medium size squares. Place on a plate and set aside.
To assemble the slider: take one crispy brussels sprout, place one piece of bacon on top, next top with either one slice of brie or one slice of parmesan and then top with another brussels sprout. To secure, place a tooth pick or mini bamboo fork in the middle. Repeat the process until you have your desired amount of brussels sprout sliders. NOTE: I incorporated both cheeses and switched off with every other slider I made, so some have Brie and some have parmesan. You only put one type of cheese per slider.
