Excuse me? Jica - what? It's Jicama! Have you ever tried Jicama Fries or Jicama in general? If not, I welcome you to try these uniquely delicious, healthier version of regular potato french fries.
For the Loaded BLT Jicama Fries
- 1 LB Jicama Sticks (pre-cut. Can be found at Whole Foods, Mariano’s or jewel) OR 1-2 Jicamas whole, peeled and cut
- Fries seasoning (see recipe below)
- 2 TBSP vegetable oil
- 1 tomato, chopped
- 1 head of romaine lettuce, washed and thinly sliced
- 6 slices of bacon, chopped and cooked
- Lite or Low Fat Ranch dressing, drizzled
For the Fries Seasoning
- 1/3 TBSP salt + more to taste if needed at the end
- 1/8 TSP black pepper
- 1/2 TSP garlic powder
- 1/4 TSP basil
- 1/4 TSP paprika
- 1/8 TSP cayenne red pepper
