Cajun Shrimp and Salmon Boil

Seafood boils are a tradition that originated from the South where groups would gather around a table spread that was full of all the pretty things such as: crab, shrimp, clams, vegetables and often times meat. These items are seasoned and boiled to perfection and served on the side with lots lemon, extra melted butter and hot sauce.

This is meant to be served so casual that you eat it with your bare hands off newspapers. That is considered to be the fun part! You get a little messy while soaking in all of the flavors. This type of meal pairs well with an ice cold beer on a hot summer day. Being in that type of environment, you will truly feel like you are in Louisiana and I don't see anything wrong with that.

Can I do this in a slow cooker instead of the oven?
