Pretty Plate Tropical Sunrise Smoothie Bowl

This post is sponsored by DOLE®. The opinions and text are all mine.

I’ve got the latest scoop! And I’m telling you, this is one that you don’t want to miss. Dole’s newest addition to their juice line up, DOLE® Pineapple Mango is a tropical sweet blend that is the perfect thing for when you want to make your mornings easy. I love mixing their individual serving juice cans into my Pretty Plate Pineapple Sunrise Smoothie Bowl. Then, I add all of my favorite toppings. Kick starting my day this way keeps my stomach full and satisfied all morning long. You can find Dole 100% Pineapple Mango Juice at your local Albertsons, Safeway, or Jewel.

Dole’s 100% Pineapple Mango juice is the perfect addition to this smoothie bowl. This bowl is a blend of Dole’s Pineapple Mango Juice, bananas, strawberries, passion fruit and coconut flavors. Dole’s juice adds that extra burst of tropical flavors to the smoothie bowl and will invigorate your senses with just one bite! I not only love the flavor that the juice provides to this bowl, but I love the benefits and convenience too! It’s made with 100% juice, no added sugars, it boosts my vitamin C intake with it being an excellent source of vitamin C and it is conveniently packed in an individual serving can that makes storing it and grabbing while on the go easy and effortless.

Now, I know that the fall season is near or some might even consider it being here already. I don’t know about you, but I am soaking up every last ounce of tropical summer vibes that I can! Give me all of the bright vibrant colors, fresh fruits and warm rays of sunshine. I know you feel the same way too, so make this Tropical Sunrise Smoothie Bowl and you will immediately be transported to tropical island time.

This non-dairy, gluten free Pretty Plate Tropical Sunrise Smoothie Bowl is a healthy treat that can be enjoyed at any time of the day. I love how this recipe is so versatile. It can be enjoyed right when you wake up for breakfast, during the day if you need a midday pick me up snack or even at night when you want a fruity, healthy yet filling dinner. I have a few tips and tricks when it comes to making this smoothie bowl absolutely perfect and irresistible:

  • Make sure to use all frozen fruits. This ensures that the smoothie will be nice and thick. This thick consistency will be easier for scooping out of your bowl, as opposed to sipping from a glass like you would with a traditional smoothie. Thick scoopable consistency is key!
  • If you want the smoothie to be even thicker than it is after all of the ingredients get blended, place it in the freezer.. Keep in there until you have your desired consistency and make sure to check on it every so often so it does not get overly frozen.
  • What helps make the smoothie creamy and fluffy in addition to the thickness from the frozen fruits is the silky smooth coconut yogurt. Using yogurt helps thicken and provides a nice tropical flavor with the coconut.

Okay, I saved the best for last. Let’s talk about toppings! I love toppings, give me all of the toppings! Have you ever gone to a frozen yogurt shop and filled up your cup with your favorite frozen yogurt, then it comes time to add all of your toppings and it’s so incredibly hard to choose!? I know that feeling all too well! Sometimes I'm so tempted to just put crushed oreos, snicker pieces or even gummy bears on top! Heck, if you wanted you could easily do that with this tropical bowl! The world is your oyster.

However, I will share some of my favorite suggested toppings that pair extremely well with this bowl. They include the following:

  • Fresh fruit - pineapple, mango and passion fruit. When you cut your passion fruit in half and scoop the fresh passion fruit from its core, the flavor is unlike any other!
  • Granola - this topping adds a nice crunch aspect to the bowl
  • Chia Seeds - excellent source of fiber
  • Flax Seeds - improves digestion
  • Coconut Shavings - thick cut, shredded, sweetened and unsweetened, you can’t go wrong!
