S’mores Ice Cream

I don’t know about you, but whenever I hear: “s’mores” my ears perk up, my eyes widen and my mouth drools just a little bit or a lot a bit. Just the thought of fluffy marshmallows, crispy graham crackers and melt in your mouth chocolate makes me crave it even more!

I thought there would be no better flavor than this for a sumemry chocolate ice cream option. Waffle cones tase similar to graham crackers, so when scooped into that waffle cone the combination is too good to be true!

Did you make this? If so, make sure to tag and follow @prettyplatebymichelle on instagram or leave a comment below and let me know what you thought! I would love to see your Pretty Plate and hear from you!

Ingredients
  • 2 Cups heavy cream
  • 3/4 Cup whole milk
  • 1/2 Cup white sugar
  • 1/3 Cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 Cup cocoa powder, sifted (very important, if not you will have clumps)
  • A pinch or two of himalayan salt
  • 2 TSP vanilla extract
  • 2 Cups crushed graham crackers + more for garnish on top
  • 2 Cups dark chocolate covered marshmallows, chopped + more for garnish on top
  • Chocolate sauce on top (optional)
Instructions
  1. Place heavy cream, whole milk, both sugars, sifted cocoa powder, salt and vanilla extract in a bowl and whisk until frothy.
  2. Place a lid on top and place in your fridge for a minimum of 2-3 hours or even over night. At this time also made sure the ice cream churning bowl is in the freezer as well to ensure it is nice and frozen for next day use. (If you are using a cuisinart ice cream maker).
  3. Remove from fridge, turn ice cream maker on and place liquid contents in ice cream maker.
  4. Churn and let run for 10-15 minutes or until liquid has become A thickened ice cream consistency. About half way through add the crushed graham crackers and chopped marshmallow chunks. And make sure it gets mixed well.
  5. Once done, transfer to a loaf pan. Place in the freezer for another 2-3 hours to hardened.
  6. When ready to eat, remove from the freezer, garnish with extra graham crackers and marshmallow chunks.
  7. Get scooping!
  8. ENJOY!

Can I do this in a slow cooker instead of the oven?
