Toasted Coconut Cream Cheese Stuffed Bacon Wrapped Holidates

These right here are a winner and I am telling you right now that you are going to want to double up this recipe because once you put these out, they will be gone in 60 seconds or less! These chewy dates are filled with creamy zesty cream cheese then wrapped in a crispy savory bacon and topped with sweet honey and soft shredded coconut that gets toasted to perfection.

Okay, now let’s talk about how easy these are to make. They can easily be made in a quick 30 minutes. Cut the dates open, stuff, wrap and then finish them off with the honey coconut topping. When the honey and coconut get baked on top it creates a caramelized, toasty coating that is simply irresistible, especially with the mixture of the salty savory bacon. This is the ultimate sweet and savory combination.

When it comes to wrapping the dates, I have a little tip for you on making them perfectly pretty for your Pretty Plate. Depending on the bacon you get and the dates you get, you might need to cut the bacon in half lengthwise so they are skinnier pieces and then cut those pieces in half widthwise. It will make it so the bacon fits and wraps perfectly around each date and doesn’t swallow the date up. Doing this creates the perfect date to bacon ratio.

If you are in need of something mini, but mighty these will do the trick. They are great appetizers for holiday parties, backyard barbecues and everything in between!

Can I do this in a slow cooker instead of the oven?
